Magic has its moment
As it gives the mundane a colourful sight
The sun makes its moment
Night after night with its alluring light
Silence creates its moment
As the thunder loses its deafening might
Music feels its moment
As each note slips in thru the glorious glide
I wait for my moment, silently
To bask in the magic of the morning sun
For the music in me has not yet died...

Shyamanga, I really loved the juxtapositioning in your poem. And the last stanza is a powerful one, reminding me how glorious it can be to live to see another day even during times when that seems impossible to enjoy.
Thank you so much, Talon.
In fact, I was planning to write a post script to thank you and Lynn for your ever encouraging words. It would have read something like this: "I'm Talonted to pen something 'bright' as Good Things Happened."
Thank you.
It's a pleasure to read your words. You're a talented writer, Shyamanga. The post script is so sweet. Thank you!
Your postscript makes my day and I am honored! I love reading your poetry. I read this one quickly, then slowly and savored the words. I love the line: As each note slips in thru the glorious glide. The glorious glide - lovely.
Thank you very much, Lynn. Really glad you liked it. Means a lot.
The post script is just a small gesture of thanks. Thank you!
